The barrier-free playground project 2016-2018
This was our largest project to date. A $500,000.00 project which we planned in partnership with Mattie McCullough Elementary School and collaborated with the City of Red Deer and fundraised with support from Rotary Club of Red Deer, Rotary Red Deer East, Rotaract Club of Red Deer, and Rotary district 5360, Alberta. We also completed the physical build with volunteer labour from members of all above organizations and an extra big effort from our own Sunrise volunteers.
This facility provides a wide range of physical challenge for all ages, allowing for play, socialization, friendship, physical exercise, enjoyment, and possibly an occasional thrill.
